Failing to Launch: Why Traditional Education Isn't Enough
The Traditional Route : Traditional education (school, college, and university) does not prepare, support, or inspire us to succeed or achieve our ambitions in the real world.
Some of the reasons why:
A Stagnated System
Traditional education isn’t evolving as fast as the real world. (The system is generally unchanged in the last 150 years).
- 2/3 of teens between the ages of thirteen and seventeen are likely to consider starting a business or becoming an entrepreneur as an adult.
A Lack of Support
There is a lack of support and guidance after completing traditional education making post-college depression a real issue.
- 7% of students believe a college education shouldn’t be necessary to achieve success.
'Real' World Teachings
We aren’t armed with real-world teachings (we don’t learn how to succeed, how to make decisions about money etc).
